Intelligent Navigation AiNAV

‘AiNav Artificial Intelligent Navigation’, has no need for a GPS connection, with the vehicle actually knowing the direction it is facing before it starts moving.

AiNav works as an App plugin for vehicle navigation systems or a stand-alone App.

Why we need an Intelligent Navigation AiNAV System

Navigation systems very often assume that the vehicle is on the opposite side of the road. This is due to the fact that all navigation systems look at each new destination request as a blank page to start from. Thus, the system will find the shortest route to the destination from where the GPS thinks the vehicle is, not knowing the direction the vehicle is actually facing. This leads to an additional amount of time for the journey once the vehicle starts driving. The driver needs to ask ‘Do I make a U turn or let the system find me a new route. This is another time consuming driver distraction.
Navigation systems that are running in vehicles today receive the location data from 4 satellites at any given time. If one is missing the system will stop working.
When a vehicle’s line of sight is blocked, the navigation systems can only assume the vehicle’s location, as if the vehicle is still moving. If the connection times out the system will request a route recalculation, another dangerous driver distraction.
In the city a vehicle might as well be driving in the desert.
Each day in the United States, approximately 9 people are killed and more than 1,000 injured in crashes that are reported to involve a distracted driver. Distracted driving is driving while doing another activity, like dealing with navigation that takes your attention away from driving.

AiNav – Intelligent Accuracy

AiNav provides accurate navigation from the start of each trip as the system recalls the precise location and direction the vehicle is facing. Like East or West.

Currently, satellite navigation, or satnav systems, use satellites to provide autonomous geospatial positioning. It allows vehicles to determine their location to high precision using time signals transmitted along a line of sight by radio from satellites. AiNAV allows for complete independence, not having to rely on satellites funded by governments or private companies. This also solves the problem in underground parking lots without GPS.

Our Execution

AiNAV makes use of magnetic sensing for compass direction and wheel rotation, sensing normalized to specific tire circumferences so that the vehicle can provide accurate navigation without the use of GPS. AiNAV works as an App plugin for vehicle navigation systems or a stand-alone App.

    About us

AiNAV is part of the EVE portfolio. EVE is an automotive Intelligent technology think tank continuing to grow a pipeline of B2B & B2C products and intellectual property. EVE was founded with the vision to use autonomous technology to develop sophisticated software platforms for various applications of the company’s patents in the emerging ‘Intelligent’ auto industry. The basis of EVE’s patented intelligent technology is the understanding that each vehicle requires its own level of AI intelligence. This intelligence works with other intelligent vehicles, infrastructure, and pedestrians. Each of the granted and pending patents are part of EVE’s AI automotive rollout called ANTS, Autonomous Numerous Tactical Systems. ‘Expecting the unexpected.’
